UniVirtua joins the Transport Accelerator: Maritime 2025 programme to advance Resilient Connectivity Solutions
London, UK – UniVirtua Limited, a pioneer in resilient connectivity and digital transformation solutions, is delighted to announce its selection for the Catapult ‘Transport Accelerator: Maritime 2025’ programme, a prestigious initiative funded by Innovate UK and key industry partners to drive innovation in the maritime sector.
The programme, designed to empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), supports technologies addressing critical challenges in port safety, autonomous operations, and sustainable fuels. UniVirtua joins a cohort of innovative companies tackling these issues, with the programme boasting a strong track record – its alumni have secured over £20m in follow-on investment.
UniVirtua’s flagship solution – dashAlpha – is a ground-breaking platform that bonds terrestrial and satellite bearers to deliver seamless, resilient connectivity for maritime environments. Enabling uninterrupted live audio, video communications, and data exchange in poor or erratic connectivity settings, dashAlpha enhances operational efficiency and safety for both vessels and ports.
As part of the accelerator, UniVirtua will access tailored mentorship, state-of-the-art testing facilities, and collaboration opportunities with industry leaders such as Serco, Port of Tyne, National Shipbuilding Office, University of Plymouth, Portsmouth International Port, Royal Navy Maritime Enterprise, and Maersk. This support will accelerate the development and deployment of dashAlpha, ensuring it meets the maritime industry’s evolving needs.
