dashAlpha Hybrid Satellite–5G Solution installed at ESA Space for 5G/6G Hub
Harwell, UK – UniVirtua is delighted to announce that following the successful completion of its ARTES Space for 5G project, it was invited by the European Space Agency to install its dashAlpha hybrid bonded SD-WAN networking solution at the ESA’s ECSAT 5G/6G Hub in Harwell, Oxfordshire.
The deployment showcases dashAlpha’s ability to intelligently bond multiple satellite and 5G bearers into a single, seamless connection. By aggregating diverse networks into one high-performance link, the system delivers high-bandwidth, fault-tolerant connectivity capable of maintaining uninterrupted, mission-critical communications in remote and zero-infrastructure environments.
Through its collaboration with ESA, UniVirtua has further enhanced dashAlpha with advanced machine-learning capabilities. The system predictively selects and optimises available network bearers in real time, dynamically adapting to changing conditions. This intelligent network bonding maximises bandwidth, minimises latency, and ensures service continuity – even while on the move.
The installation at the Space for 5G/6G Hub provides a live demonstration environment for next-generation hybrid connectivity solutions, supporting innovation across defence, emergency services, maritime, energy, and other sectors where dependable communications are critical.
